Loten Hooley, the developer, has withdrawn his application for three land-use actions that would have allowed a major commercial/residential structure in central Oceanside.
The structure would have encompassed 20 to 30 self-storage units with eight condominium units on the second story, and would have stretched along Pacific Avenue for 180 feet across from Roseanna’s Café and immediately south of the Anchor Tavern. The property, the site of a defunct gasoline station and a row of cinder-block garages, is zoned commercial.
Hooley had applied for two conditional use permits and a variance for the storage units in the single building along Pacific Avenue.
